Owners Brenden Pienaar and Tamsyn Corie are tourism specialists in their own right and their slightly different backgrounds ensure that every aspect is catered for and managed to the highest international hospitality standards.
Tamsyn has extensive tourism management experience in both the Cape Winelands and Kruger National Park. She managed Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge in Franschhoek for a number of years before moving to Olifants Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park to satisfy her adventurous spirit. The challenge of initiating a tourism based company within this fantastic region eventually got the better of her and Brenden and saw the establishment of Africa Unlimited.
Armed with an honours degree in Nature Conservation, Brenden calls the wild his second home and is an experienced Field Guide who has previously trained and worked in the Kruger National Park. Specializing in hiking trails, such as the famous Olifants River Backpack Trail and Wilderness Trails in Parque Nacional do Limpopo in Mozambique, he loves sharing his extensive knowledge with guests from all over the world. Astronomy is one of his other passions and can now be incorporated in our tailor-made tours and trails.
Evelien Klokman joined Africa Unlimited in 2007. Born and bred in The Netherlands, she has gained extensive experience in touroperating through working for various agents, such as American Express in Amsterdam. The desire to explore new cultures and live life to the fullest brought her to South Africa, which has now become her second home. She looked after the marketing and sales for a safari lodge in Phalaborwa for 6 years, before she decided to join Brenden and Tamsyn.
Africa Unlimited’s freelance guide Hans Enslin was born in the city but grew up on a game farm in Groblersdal, where he developed a deep passion for wildlife and the African bush. He now is a knowledgeable safari guide with over 15 years experience. Specializing in Kruger National Park, the Limpopo province and Kwazulu Natal he also has extensive knowledge of Namibia and Botswana, where he operated safaris for a well known operator.
Raised and schooled in Johannesburg Grant Murphy’s love for the bush and all things wild was kindled at a very young age from the many family holidays spent exploring Southern Africa. His curiosity of foreign places and people made him embark on a round-the-world-trip that lasted 10 years, which got him to amazing sites and into interesting situations. He is now pursuing his guiding career, enabling him to still be involved in the adventure of travel and to share his excitement of the African continent.
Africa Unlimited's attention to detail is unsurpassed in the industry and our personalised service, complemented with quality, professionally managed safaris and tours make for unforgettable experiences. We also provide Tailor Made tours where we select elements that you specifically want to include.
